Glenn Beck is finally Gone!

I have plenty of things to say about this. GOOD! What took so long? As far as Fox News is concerned, this is just a good start. The rest of that propaganda network needs to be dismantled. The Extreme Propaganda Spreading / Al Jazeera Partner / Koch Brothers Camouflaging / Right Wing History Revisionist / Biased Non - Actual News Station is finally down one liar (although, like Rush Limbaugh, he is still on the radio and publishes books). We fought hard to get rid of this despicable, fake crying putz for an entire two years but, this is just a start.
My extreme disgust was finally rubber stamped when this crap salesmen organized a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on the day that most African Americans celebrate and several thousand attend that location each year on the date of the Martin Luther King "I Have A Dream" speech (from Wikipedia: ) "I Have a Dream" is a 17 minute public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered on August 28, 1963, in which he called for racial equality and an end to discrimination. The speech, from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. Delivered to over 200,000 civil rights supporters, the speech was ranked the top American speech of the 20th century by a 1999 poll of scholars of public address. According to U.S. Representative John Lewis, who also spoke that day as the President of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, "Dr. King had the power, the ability, and the capacity to transform those steps on the Lincoln Memorial into a monumental area that will forever be recognized. By speaking the way he did, he educated, he inspired, he informed not just the people there, but people throughout America and unborn generations."
Not only did Beck intentionally hijack the celebration but he also tried to tell Americans and anyone who would listen that he was "part of the civil rights movement" that wasn't just for African Americans, the statement of which disrespects African Americans as if Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Medgar Evers were NOT African Americans.
Also, from Wikipedia: "...The African-American Civil Rights Movement (1955–1968) refers to the movements in the United States aimed at outlawing racial discrimination against African Americans and restoring voting rights in Southern states. This article covers the phase of the movement between 1954 and 1968, particularly in the South. By 1966, the emergence of the Black Power Movement, which lasted roughly from 1966 to 1975, enlarged the aims of the Civil Rights Movement to include racial dignity, economic and political self-sufficiency, and freedom from oppression by white Americans."
Also: "...Glenn Edward Lee Beck (born February 10, 1964) is an American conservative radio and television host, author, entrepreneur, and political commentator." Let me see, yes, this shows us that Glenn Beck was a member of the civil rights movement when he was FOUR YEARS OLD, right?
NO, this shows us that once more, this pundit has proven himself to be a liar.
Like I keep saying, you can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own reality.
