Birthers Are Intentionally Playing Stupid

If you don't like the facts, then, all you have to do is ignore them, it seems to be the Republican angle on everything from Obama's birth certificate to scientific facts. I am tired of turning on the computer (I turned my television off years ago.) in order to find another story about political news saying that some idiot celebrity is talking about either Obama's birth certificate or global climate change. Yesterday, after the nation's president produced his long form certificate of birth, the tone changed to "why" he had produced it, and why it was not produced publicly before. How about, "Since it was NONE of your Business, moron!" The idea that they can try to say that the past president of the Harvard Law Review never accomplished anything scholastically to their liking is pretty ignorant. Does Donald Trump think we are going to buy it? NO, most of us won't but the fringe lunatics out there who live on fear will accept any concept that makes them in the least capable of saying, "SEE, I TOLD YOU SO..." someday in the future. The idea that anyone gets into Harvard with NO ACCOMPLISHMENT is ridiculous. The idea that he only got in at all because of Affirmative Action is a campaign trick of the nastiest business mogal in New York City. He is setting himself up to be the recipient of the nastiest racism accusations in recent history. Is he stupid or delusional? Or is he actually so mentally over confident that he thinks he is superior in legal knowledge to the president of the Harvard Law Review who was a constitutional lawyer, based on his beginnings as a motel desk clerk. Who did he screw in order to get where he is?

In Response to Arizona's Birther Law (unconstitutional at it's inception)

The entire birther movement as well as this law is a blatant sign of the insecurity of the GOP . The fact that they are so afraid of Obama and his ability to move "the masses" without their control makes them cringe. If young people are once again on his side in the election, then he will do the one thing that strikes terror in the hearts of conservatives everywhere, finish a full two terms in the white house which has been proven in the past to change the direction of the nation, at least for a while. They are already responsible for being at the wheel while we had another economic meltdown, stock market crash, and government subsidizing of (excuse me, in their terms, bailout) which is the only way that they free market capitalism economic system works, despite their cries of "socialism".
Historically speaking, the GOP could lose control of the congress (the actual legislation process) in 2012, and if the Democratic party wins the legislative process as the recession ceases, the tide of the country could go away from the lying money sucking part of congress.
I am at a point where I don't want to blame a party. I think they are both full of good and bad, pros and cons, and the only way out of our present situation is for society in the U.S. to smarten up and educate themselves on the issues and start voting on that context rather than talking points that are merely a smokescreen but ring true with "conservative values", I.E. abortion, gay marriage, religion, and political history based on the "legends" of past administrations, since under scrutiny we find, they ALL have had multiple flaws.
We can only hope that this country returns to sanity but I am not going to hold my breath.

Glenn Beck is finally Gone!

I have plenty of things to say about this. GOOD! What took so long? As far as Fox News is concerned, this is just a good start. The rest of that propaganda network needs to be dismantled. The Extreme Propaganda Spreading / Al Jazeera Partner / Koch Brothers Camouflaging / Right Wing History Revisionist / Biased Non - Actual News Station is finally down one liar (although, like Rush Limbaugh, he is still on the radio and publishes books). We fought hard to get rid of this despicable, fake crying putz for an entire two years but, this is just a start.
My extreme disgust was finally rubber stamped when this crap salesmen organized a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on the day that most African Americans celebrate and several thousand attend that location each year on the date of the Martin Luther King "I Have A Dream" speech (from Wikipedia: ) "I Have a Dream" is a 17 minute public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered on August 28, 1963, in which he called for racial equality and an end to discrimination. The speech, from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. Delivered to over 200,000 civil rights supporters, the speech was ranked the top American speech of the 20th century by a 1999 poll of scholars of public address. According to U.S. Representative John Lewis, who also spoke that day as the President of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, "Dr. King had the power, the ability, and the capacity to transform those steps on the Lincoln Memorial into a monumental area that will forever be recognized. By speaking the way he did, he educated, he inspired, he informed not just the people there, but people throughout America and unborn generations."
Not only did Beck intentionally hijack the celebration but he also tried to tell Americans and anyone who would listen that he was "part of the civil rights movement" that wasn't just for African Americans, the statement of which disrespects African Americans as if Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Medgar Evers were NOT African Americans.
Also, from Wikipedia: "...The African-American Civil Rights Movement (1955–1968) refers to the movements in the United States aimed at outlawing racial discrimination against African Americans and restoring voting rights in Southern states. This article covers the phase of the movement between 1954 and 1968, particularly in the South. By 1966, the emergence of the Black Power Movement, which lasted roughly from 1966 to 1975, enlarged the aims of the Civil Rights Movement to include racial dignity, economic and political self-sufficiency, and freedom from oppression by white Americans."
Also: "...Glenn Edward Lee Beck (born February 10, 1964) is an American conservative radio and television host, author, entrepreneur, and political commentator." Let me see, yes, this shows us that Glenn Beck was a member of the civil rights movement when he was FOUR YEARS OLD, right?
NO, this shows us that once more, this pundit has proven himself to be a liar.
Like I keep saying, you can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own reality.
