My Reply From Governor Rick Scott's Office

Thank you for contacting Governor Rick Scott

Governor Rick Scott

to Governor
Thank you for contacting Governor Rick Scott's office and sharing your concerns about the death of Trayvon Martin.  The Governor asked that I respond on his behalf.

Governor Scott supports a full and fair investigation into all of the circumstances surrounding Trayvon’s death.  For this reason, Governor Scott has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to provide any assistance necessary to fully investigate the matter.

Additionally, Norman R. Wolfinger, State Attorney for Brevard and Seminole Counties, in the interest of the public safety of the citizens of Seminole County, and to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, requested the Governor make an executive assignment of another state attorney for the investigation, and any prosecution arising from the circumstances surrounding the death of Trayvon Martin.  As a result of this request, the Honorable Angela Corey, State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida, agreed to accept an executive assignment in this matter.

Further, Governor Scott, after listening to many concerned citizens in recent days, has asked Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll to lead a Task force on Citizen Safety and Protection.  The Task Force’s purpose is to investigate how to make sure a tragedy such as this does not occur in the future, while at the same time protecting the fundamental rights of all of our citizens – especially the right to feel protected and safe in our state.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact the Governor's Office about this important issue.  Governor Scott hopes that this matter is resolved in a just manner and appreciates your concern over this incident.

Sincerely,

Warren Davis

Trayvon Martin and Florida's Self Defense Laws

THE STALKING AND EXECUTION OF TRAYVON MARTIN
Everyone should run and hide from vigilantes in Sanford, Florida, especially since most of the law there and several recent celebrities comments were that Trayvon Martin (taken from the basic gist of their conversation) had it coming.
Geraldo (the Al Capone Vault Fiasco guy) Rivera said his wearing a hoodie was a good reason for a violent racist to shoot him. Geraldo needs to get his head examined and look in a mirror. Here are two suspicious criminals below:

Trayvon Martin's father's girl friend lived in the area, a gated community, that Trayvon was staying or visiting to be with his father. He went to the local convenience store and was returning with Skittles and a can of Iced Tea when a George Zimmerman, 28 yr. old self styled vigilante who had somehow after a felony arrest for assaulting an officer years ago, and a police blotter full of 911 calls about suspicious black people, became the head of the local neighborhood blockwatch. He wanted to be an authority figure. That is the worst kind of person to put in any position of authority, someone who seeks attention to mask insecurity over his own racial identity confusion. I say that as his parents, on the wake of the arrest and release of Zimmerman, rushed to explain to the press that they wanted them to know that he was definitely Jewish and Hispanic. I am sure that scenario played out at home on a regular basis. He seems to be ashamed to admit to his Cuban half, probably because of the anger and resentment in Florida about the boat people that some local residents feel "took over" parts of Florida on their arrival during the exile years. Hoards of exiled Cubans sought asylum in the United States years ago and some of the local Floridians will never get over it. It led to anyone Hispanic being labeled as "...another damned Cuban". (Carlos Mencia, the comedian talks about being called Cuban any time he goes to Florida and Puerto Rican when he visits New York.) The following is actually taken from the total Florida Revised Statutes (the actual law as it is written) and it is clear to me, at least that this doesn't apply to the Trayvon Martin Execution (for being black and wearing a hoodie) Case against George Zimmerman, publically noted racist and police "wanna be".

STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS
From Florida Revised Statutes :
 Florida Statutes
Section 776.012, F.S., describes the right to use force including deadly force in defense of oneself or others.
776.012 Use of force in defense of person.—A person is justified in the use of
force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person
REVISED:
BILL: CS/CS/SB 436 Page 2
reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or
another against such other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, the person
is justified in the use of deadly force only if he or she reasonably believes that
such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself
or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.
Although the catch line to s. 776.031, F.S., is “Use of force in defense of others,” that section primarily pertains to the use of force to protect property.
776.031 Use of force in defense of others.—A person is justified in the use of
force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person
reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to prevent or terminate such
other’s trespass on, or other tortious or criminal interference with, either real
property other than a dwelling or personal property, lawfully in his or her
possession or in the possession of another who is a member of his or her
immediate family or household or of a person whose property he or she has a
legal duty to protect. However, the person is justified in the use of deadly force
only if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.

Common Law Duty to Retreat

Under Florida common law, a person acting in self-defense outside his or her home or workplace has a “duty to use every reasonable means to avoid the danger, including retreat, prior to using deadly force.”1, 2 This duty is also referred to as a duty to retreat “to the wall.”3 The duty to retreat also applies to both parties in mutual combat and to an initial aggressor. 4 A defender has no duty to retreat before using non-deadly force. 5 The duty to retreat has not always been a part of the common law. Centuries ago, “any man who was feloniously attacked without provocation could stand his ground anywhere, not retreat, and use deadly force if necessary to repel the attacker.” 6 Today, the common law places a “greater emphasis on the sanctity of life as opposed to chivalry.
7 Similarly, the duty to retreat appears to stem from the policy that “[h]uman life is precious, and deadly combat should be avoided if at all possible when imminent danger to oneself can be avoided.”
You tell me, does this apply in your opinion? Email me at arizonamildman@live.com

The Ongoing Tea Bagger Saga

On the internet someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion is called a "Troll". In American politics, they are called the Tea Party.
A lot of the Republicans in congress (E.G. John McCain's hobbit comment.) are sorry for allowing that group of intolerant, misinformed, ridiculous sounding, ranting, angry at the wrong people, weird crack pots. Ask one of them why they are walking down the middle of the street, carrying a sign, and yelling, "Bring back our freedom", as if they don't realize if they actually were in a dictatorship or communist country that the government would send troops out in the street to disperse, shoot them, or arrest them. They are told to be afraid of Czars because they are a Russian word. That started along time ago and became popular to discuss during the Reagan era, using the title that Reagan gave them at the time, with his appointment of a Drug Czar. It was just another way of calling them "the guy in charge" using a term that past presidents, including Reagan, thought was somehow appropriate at the time. These people actually have been told and believe that these Czars are here from Russia infiltrating our government. Czars have no executive power although these people can't understand something simple. Trying to convince these simple minded fear driven Trolls about that is a task in itself. They think Glen Beck, the master of Right Wing Ranting over nothing using fallacy logic is a logical thinker. That is just sad. What is the nation coming to?

The American Taliban Revisited

I had heard of the Log Cabin Republicans a long time ago but it was recently that I heard of an organization entitled GOProud. They recently battled verbally with Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks (TYT on YouTube). As he stated and as I see more and more conservatives vote against their own interests. Don't you understand that these people hate everything that you stand for? The GOP and the American Taliban (American Evangelical Christians) and the Teabaggers are all cut from the same cloth. They don't seem to understand when someone has stabbed them in the back and their idea seems to be to do it harder.
Below, Pat Robertson once again maligns gay people as if it is his job to divine ignorance from ancient Jewish mythological texts into modern day hate. Watch the video and remember, especially gay people who defend the right, that this is what they think of you and will support gay people only in voting for them. To them gay means something evil.
I, personally am straight but I hate discrimination against anyone. To me the GOProud movement makes as much sense as black people promoting the Klan.
You tell me what you think in the comments, please.

Who Besides Me Is Tired Of Hearing About Rush Limbaugh?

I am tired of hearing about it. Today Shawn Hannity said the hard left is able to take talk radio out. I am listening to Rush Limbaugh ditto-heads calling and talking about how angry they are. They keep repeating his original LIE which is what the problem was in the first place. The American Right Wing Conservative Media and the Rush Limbaugh Blind Followers Movement is like Emily Litella (Gilda Radner's character) of Saturday Night Live's long running skit entitled "Weekend Update".

The difference is, when Emily Litella was corrected on something she was able to have it explained to her. She didn't argue nonsensically, grasping at straws for some shred of truth in the argument to see as somehow making the whole thing pertinent or relevant.  She didn't start blaming everyone else for misunderstanding her meaning or whine that they were violating her freedom of speech. In other words, the bottom line is that, she knew how to admit when she was wrong.
Recently Rush Limbaugh started a lie based attack on Ms. Sandra Fluke and got called out on it by American Women and Shawn Hannity thinks someone defending her own freedom of speech and the people who are trying to help her defend it are somehow responsible for Mr. Limbaugh's plight rather than admitting to themselves he got caught lying again. You will notice the Bill of Rights states that we have Freedom of Speech. It doesn't say "Freedom of Hateful Attacks based on fictitious scenarios made up to make it sound like we have a point".
First, they are saying that he is having his first amendment rights violated. Let's look at the first amendment. It says:
"...Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

So the first amendment rights are about congress not having the legal authority to make it illegal to speak your mind, which means that congress, not having anything to do with this is not even in the scenario and so neither is the first amendment.

Sandra Fluke spoke her mind (about Polycystic ovary syndrome and Self Pay Health Insurance available at Georgetown University) and Rush Limbaugh and the American Right Wing Media is trying to silence her on behalf of the Health Care Insurance Lobbies that don't want to pay for women's health care services. They are allied with the American Taliban (Evangelical Christians), who at least have the excuse that their religion makes them delusional. Both groups are about hate and propaganda and trying to take away certain people's right to be heard. They use an argument about something that you never said and try to act like that means something. I am disgusted and believe that anyone who doesn't see this clearly is delusional.

I am not even going to argue the fact that Sandra Fluke was correct in what she said, that isn't the point. The point is that 1) Rush Limbaugh said that Ms. Fluke said something that was never said by anyone and 2) he also said that she wanted contraceptives paid for with tax money and 3) he said that she was talking about her own need to have sex instead of the polycystic ovarian syndrome contracted by women she interviewed. That was all BEFORE he called her names and asked her to post her sexual experiences on the internet. His whole line of thought shows that he never even listened to a word she said and the idiots that are trying to defend him haven't, either.

If you truly believe anything that Rush Limbaugh says, I can only add that you are invited to, even though I am sure most conservatives are too chickenshit to actually do it, listen to Ms. Fluke's actual testimony and if you can't do that, then shut the f**k up and let someone state their opinion that actually does know enough about what was said to have an opinion about it because if you didn't hear it, you don't have a right to talk about whether Rush Limbaugh had the right to try to smear her with lies.

In case the link above didn't work in your browser, then, here is the video footage of her testimony.

After listening to this, ask yourself what Rush Limbaugh was talking about and if  you want to keep trying to act like you believe him.

The Continuing Rush Limbaugh Saga

I just wanted to mention that he has had most all of his sponsors pull out over his attack on Sandra Fluke the Georgetown University student. The really dramatic thing is that I heard that Don Imus, the guy who called some women "Nappy Headed Hoes" in a lame attempt to be funny, chimed in and gave his two cents worth about Rush Limbaugh. Please click on the video and watch his comments.

Keep Track of Who is Defending Rush Limbaugh

I am no longer sure if this kind of people are illiterate or just ignorant when they rise to defend a liar. When someone looks at a news story and takes the whole thing out of context and formulates a complete fabrication of a supposed "news story" then they are completely wrong. To do so in a manner that insults a real human being instead of a fake person in the scenario, in which case it probably would have passed without notice. Rush Limbaugh is irrelevant to anyone who can read and is informed on science, nature, weather, mathematics, pretty much the entire real world we call reality. Why? Because he lives in a world in his head that should be described as "delusional". He isn't in denial. Denial is when you look at a problem and say, "OH, I don't want to face that", and look away, refusing to look back. DELUSION is when you look at a problem and don't see it as a problem.
I know that a lack of investigating the truth is the opposite of what most intelligent people call "critical thinking" and if you don't read and investigate things you hear, whether they sound wrong or right to you, then you aren't using critical thinking. Most of us see a news article and ask ourselves if it sounds right and if it doesn't we immediately look into it. When we hear something that sounds outlandishly wrong, we should investigate more to make sure everything we are reading isn't being exagerated, at least.
Those of us who do that find that most everyone who calls anything but their own lies "mainstream media" or "the liberal media" know that they are lying. It would seem to me that people who report things only give you the story and don't go into their opinion about it at length. Whenever someone, in what is supposed to be news, goes on a long rant on one subject, it becomes a firestorm of rumors, conjecture, and outright lies. I personally believe sometimes some of the opinion shows that call themselves entertainment are taken too seriously by some because their watchers want to believe the scenarios that this guy made up are real and THAT IS COMPLETELY DELUSIONAL.
I have never supported fictional news media, mainly Fictional Opinionated Xannouncerswithanaudience, that admits they are only there to entertain crackpots and are not really a news station - and is watched by the same people who read the "National Enquirer" and believe the story about the alien baby from outer space found in  a corn field in Iowa. And remember this one?
And of course the kind of people who believe this will rush out to vote for him because as you know, you never want to anger aliens (they know what you are thinking unless you wear that aluminum foil hat). I have had occasion to be angry at something some Right Windbag said in passing during one of his lying rants and recently was no occasion. When the guy who called a woman a slut, a prostitute, and went on to say that she should post her sexual exploits and that "...she said that she was having so much sex a day that she can't afford it", it made me mad, not because he is an asshole, that is obvious and will always be. Not just the fact that what the woman testified to had nothing to do with sexual behavior of hers or anyone else's and that her survey was about women's gynecological health and had NOTHING to do with what he was talking about. It wasn't the names he called her to fit his fictional scenario he made up so he would sound like he had a point concerning something relevant.
What made me really angry is that I have two daughters and if someone made up a story like this about her, taking the only 2 piece of the story that were correct (that she had written a report and it mentioned estrogen tablets) , and turned it into an attack of her just to prove some misguided point through a fictional scenario that was outlandishly over exagerated ONLY IF IT HAD ACTUALLY HAPPENED, which would have been none of his business, even if it had been true, but it wasn't. He said some things on the air that would have gotten anyone immediately canned and Bain Capital LOVES controversy and won't get rid of him until he starts exposing them.
It occurred to me that what really makes me mad is that if I had heard him say these things about my daughter, then, I probably would have punched him in his fat head until I was exhausted, which would probably be long after he was deceased.

Arizona Mildman

ProFlowers.com Reply to Rush Limbaugh / Sandra Fluke Insult

HI EVERYONE,
Here we are again. I wrote to ProFlowers.com to find out why they haven't made a public comment about the Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke insult scandal. Their reply is typical of someone trying to tactfully dismiss someone. I didn't mention that I was a blogger or that I was anyone who posted things on the internet in my first message. I will show you how the conversation transpired.
First to ProFlowers.com from me:
"... Customer Comments: Rush Limbaugh's attack on Ms. Fluke recently stirred up a lot of controversy and people are actually trying to defend him. He seems to think his comment that it was a bad choice of words is an apology. He needs to apologize for accusing women everywhere of being sluts because they use estrogen tablets, which as Mr. Limbaugh obviously doesn't know, don't work like Viagra. Women don't take them to have sex, they take them to maintain their menstrual cycle. This keeps them from being pregnant. His lack of knowledge about how contraceptives work shows his complete lack of caring about how anything which women go through, not just his lack of caring about being a decent person and saying things that are hateful and ignorant as an attack based on political bias which he launched directly at a young college coed who was told she was doing her civic duty by sharing that some of her classmates (not she) were forced into stopping the use of birth control pills since it was cost prohibitive. How that made Mr. Limbaugh think that a personal attack on Ms. Fluke amounting to his name calling and abusive language and defamation of Ms. Fluke's character are something for him to "choose his words" about instead of him stopping and realizing anyone he calls a slut for using contraceptives in any way means he is calling all of them the same insulting name.
I would have told you years ago that this windbag needed removed from the airways but with the firing of Don Imus and Howard Stern being fined into Satelite radio, Limbaugh needs to at least pay a handsome fine in the way of losing all his sponsors support for his hateful angry message of organized ignorance.
Please remove your advertising from his show immediately.
