Not Voting Is Killing Us (and Veiled Racism explained)

I can trace the history of when things changed. The only reason we are seeing such insanity in office is that no one who was younger or a minority who had voted for Obama in the presidential election of 2008 came out to vote in 2010 when they didn't think the members of congress were "that important" (the legislative branch of government) and we can now see, if we trace back our steps in the race that that is when the Tea Baggers took over our government and caught the nation with it's pants down. What we did in 2012 was phenomenal but won't make a bit of difference because the Tea Bagger Congress is going to ruin us through obstruction and must be stopped. I don't know if our nation can wait until the election is 2014 to right itself and still survive THE FINANCIAL CRISIS CAUSED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION FROM 2001 TO 2008. We will have to wait and see. There are no excuses, the congress we have now, starting with Mitch McConnell and John Boehner and ending with Ron Taylor are the problem.
One major factor that no one seems to realize is that a powerful force in our nation's legislative branch was a guy named Russ Feingold. His Wikipedia profile says that he: "...is a lawyer and politician from the U.S. state of Wisconsin. He served as a Democratic party member of the U.S. Senate from 1993 to 2011. From 1983 to 1993, Feingold was a Wisconsin State Senator representing the 27th District.
He is a recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award, and cosponsored the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (McCain–Feingold Act), a major piece of campaign finance reform legislation. He was the only Senator to vote against the USA PATRIOT Act during the first vote on the legislation.
Feingold had been mentioned as a possible candidate in the 2008 Presidential election, but following the November midterm elections of 2006 he chose not to run. In 2010, Feingold lost his campaign for re-election to the US Senate to Republican Ron Johnson."
So, Russ Feingold lost to a member of the Tea Bagger Fascist Party. Anyone who finds that language offensive needs to look up the word FASCISM and find out what it really means. The type of fascism that we are dealing with in the Tea Party is Bourgeoisie leaning motives through fascist means of unification. This is the opposite of what we had in Europe, which was in favor of the Proletariat sense of values. What one hears in the speech of people like Glen Beck is the chant of the working class but asking you to vote for the owner class, which is backwards from the actual movement of Marxism and the idea of class struggle.
When I speak of veiled racism, this is what I mean. If the Tea Party voters are members of the working class, then how are they being led to vote for idiots in congress that vote for Citizens United and the idea that rich businesses are people, too? Because the liars like Beck use the language that Karl Marx used to incite the revolutionaries in Europe but tells them that the Republican / Conservatives are part of the "upper class" and in light of the fact that they aren't rich or financially in what might be considered the "owner class", then what is the distinction? Simple, what similarity do you see between the majority of the Tea Party and people who are actually owner class? You tell me. Count how many black or any other different race of people other than white people that you see in the crowd at his rally in Washington, D.C. where he said that Martin Luther King Jr. wasn't owned by black people and that the civil rights movement he led in the sixties wasn't just about black people and that, (quote) "We (we who?) need to take back OUR civil rights."

Are You Smarter Than A Sixth Grader?

I am not talking about the television show, I am speaking about the society we live in. First, in the sixth grade we learn about civics in the United States and get a brief outline on the powers of government. First, there are three branches of governmental power.
  1. The first is the Executive Branch, which is a president, governor, or mayor. These are the people who ultimately consider themselves responsible for "attempting to" get the other branches to work properly through dialogue and logical campaigns of cooperation. The president can only direct, advise, and sanction laws and legislation. There are no rulers in government per the United States Constitution.
  2. The second is the Legislative Branch, which is the people who write and pass legislation into law. They are the ones who are responsible to the public for being "The Voice of the People" in any law, tax, levy, policy, and disputes that our government has with anyone in society. (We can only be responsible for governing ourselves. These people are supposed to be servants of the people, not rulers.)
  3. The Judicial Branch is the third and final branch of government, and is considered the final word on interpretation of laws, although it is not advised to "legislate from the bench", or make decisions that are  unpopular based on personal bias, although judges in all levels of court from Municipal Courts (city courts) to the Supreme Court (federal law decisions) are human and there is apt to be some bias in some cases.
Lately, much of our country, the United States of America, has been tricked by certain news media and some legislators into believing that the Executive Branch of Government is a supreme ruler. Some presidents in the past made decisions for our country that the nation decided were wrong later on, in spite of the fact that they would have voted for or written to the president to enact such emergency legislation as was the case with the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center in New York. The George W. Bush administration decided we needed to go to war in Iraq before the attack and then made it a priority along with getting the Patriot Act (That one act was passed through congress without them reading it and enacted a complete control by the president and allowed the president powers to make legislative decisions, judicial powers, and compromised the privacy and safety of every United States citizen under the guise of a need for security.)
The president can't do what he wants with our country without the complete cooperation the majority of congress.
Those in congress who impede progress in order to further an agenda of blame on the president need to be removed through the process of having a recall election when the people see that they aren't cooperating to cause progress and the benefit of all in our society.
This nation was formed in the beginning by farmers and people who would be considered ignorant and uneducated by today's standards, but the rules were clear set that if the majority of the people demand something then, congress is supposed to comply. It is not their job to tell people what they need. That is called FASCISM and we have no ruling class in the United States, although some wealthy people think that they are going to continue to be allowed to do so. The majority of Americans voted for progress and it hasn't been put into legislation and anyone who is continuing to control legislation and keeping us from said progress is the problem and needs to be removed immediately. Everyone in every state needs to find out what the process is to have a senator or representative recalled from office and do it today with anyone who seeks to stall progress in this country.

The GOP Are Just Ignorant

The arguments I have heard have been nothing but smoke screens and at this point I am fuming. Today, during a discussion that hinges on the fact that the GOP wants to secure tax cuts for the rich that the Bush administration (the same guys who brought us the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq without paying for them by raising taxes), that were supposed to be a "temporary tax holiday", but which have been in place for eleven years now and haven't help create jobs, which was the reason they were given in the first place. BUT, they want to cut Social Security, Medicare, and food stamps for poor families, the unemployed, the disabled, etc. because they think that is the problem.
Really? Are they truly worried about money while trying to ruin the United States' credit standing with our lenders and all to hold us hostage over Grover Norquist and the idea that we are running out of money? If that is so, then explain to me what happened here.
I remember about eight years ago, when there was much discussion about "space exploration" and how expensive it was considering it hadn't netted us any usable information and we were trying to find a way to pay for these wars and increase jobs AND we were in a recession.
So, here is my question. If we are so broke, then what the hell are we doing making the "X-37B" a secret Air Force project and paying for it with our military spending budget that we all agreed that we seriously need to cut? Am I the only one who sees this as a complete bullshit excuse to the American public and a way that the ignorant people like Newt Gingrich believe we should spend our money instead of feeding the poor. He plans on seeing a colony on the moon sometime soon, from what he told us at the Republican Candidate debates this year. I guess some rich people like him believe they are going to ruin the environment here and move on so they "really need" programs like this to further their future plans while making working class people pay for it with their income taxes and hiding the expenditure for their personal projects under a "Secret Military" security so the rest of us didn't know what was going on.
This is disgusting to me and I urge everyone to write to their congressmen who voted for this and tell them what you think. If you doubt that it exists or are any other kind of conspiracy nut case, here is the video from today.

Anti Union ("Right to Work") Is a Fascist Defining Characteristic

Everyone seriously needs to watch the Republicans in Michigan who are trying to take away the individual freedoms of the union members and make it a RIGHT TO WORK (right to pay you less than a living wage and deny you any benefits) state. There are already 10 states in the United States that have over ten percent of their population living below the poverty line and eight of those are "right to work" states. This is a government take over of labor and industry. This is the beginning of fascism in the United States. As Dr. Lawrence Britt pointed out after World War II, when speaking about the Nazis in Germany and other fascist regimes, there are common defining characteristics of Fascism, and they are:

1) Powerful and Continuing Nationalism

Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2) Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3) Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4) Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

5) Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

6) Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7) Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8) Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

9) Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10) Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed .

11) Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

12  Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14) Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Form letter from Jon Kyl

I sent a scathing letter to Jon Kyl today and this is all I got as a response. The lame duck session and Mitch McConnell filibustering his own motion were on my mind when I read that Lindsey Graham publicly stated that he is going to do everything he can to block any legislation and cause a default in our credit rating by pushing us over the fiscal cliff when that arises. This is the reply I receieved from Senator Jon Kyl, who is in charge of federal agencies investigations and problems one of his constituents might address.
"...Thank you for your communication.
As you may know, the Senate recently convened for a short lame-duck session, and my decision to retire when my term expires at the end of the year requires me to begin preparing now for the shutdown of normal office operations and the transition of responsibilities to my successor, Senator-elect Jeff Flake. As office computers are prepared for shutdown, office files are archived, and members of my staff begin leaving for other opportunities, my ability to respond to constituents' communications will become increasingly limited. I hope you can understand.

While I may not be able to address your specific comments, I will continue to review all messages that I receive, including those about issues that are expected to arise during the lame-duck session. I would also encourage you to share your views with Senator McCain and your House member, and, of course, with Senator-elect Flake when he is seated in January.

It has been a privilege to represent you in the United States Senate. Thank you for that opportunity, and thank you for caring enough to share your views.

Sincerely,

JON KYL
United States Senator"

Ann Coulter-ism

I am using her name (Ann Coulter) only because she has been stupid enough to come right out and say what the "conservative Christian" true goal might be for many who have been indoctrinated into Christianity whole-heartedly. Several of the "ends justify the means" thinking people need to think about this. In the course of things, this is actually bandwagon thinking, which is also considered "mob rule".
I will let you decide how sane this sounds when she is in a room full of liberal people and doesn't have someone like Bill O'Reilly or Shawn Hannity virtually patting her on the back and telling her how right she is about everything. Secretly, a lot of people indoctrinated by the church and the church itself actually had this as a goal for ages and are once again rearing the ugly head of global greed that was displayed during the Crusades. Please watch the video before continuing the read the entire article:
Before anyone starts trying to defend what she said because of her emotionalism after the nine eleven attacks, my point is that we attacked the wrong country over oil based on lies purported by a policy coup whose main goal was to convert Muslim nations to Christianity and Democracy and you can see how well that worked out. One of George Bush Junior's first statements was, "We can't fight terror with common warfare..." and then he went right ahead and attempted to do just that in countries that had NOTHING to do with us being attacked or weapons of mass destruction. If you are still ignorant enough to believe that is incorrect, then I suggest you do two things. 1) Learn to use critical thinking instead of being a sheep and 2) watch this video of General Wesley Clarke.
