My Comment To Brian Goff At Forbes.com

I would suggest that everyone read the comment from the contributor, Brian Goff, on Forbes.com about the Sterling incident. His point was well made and positive, but, in my humble opinion, it still doesn't overshadow the obvious negative. The article is at:  http://www.forbes.com/sites/briangoff/2014/04/30/sterling-episode-shows-how-much-america-has-changed/?fb_action_ids=10202680915516314&fb_action_types=forbessocial:comment
Here is my comment:  "The point is, that America has changed. I get it. The sad part I don't get is how in 2014, 50 years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act, there are still ridiculous people who think they are superior to other human beings based on race.
Their thinking dates back to the post civil war anger because some slaves received forty acres and a mule and made something of the land they received while white people who used to own these hardworking people had a burned down plantation and no one who could actually do the work.
As LBJ said in 1960, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." But in today's day and age, who doesn't know that making racist comments and out right racist actions are NOT LEGAL, NOT ACCEPTABLE, and NOT APPRECIATED BY ANYONE WITH A BRAIN, except for people who live in tiny pockets of America, hiding out from diversity and the American reality?
Trying to see something positive about the fact that he was called out on it, is good.
The fact that he said those things and believes them makes him ignorant, uninformed, and willfully antisocial. He hangs out with and sleeps with black women but doesn't want to be seen in public with them (although he is married).
This is the really hard part to swallow,  Considering how many players in the NBA are black, he had a real opportunity, being an NBA club owner, to get to know some top athletes who are admirable people and excellent human beings, who happen to be black. But it's his loss and the resulting banning is our gain and sends a message to racists that it isn't okay anymore, so, knock it off or you will be labeled as unacceptable dinosaurs that can't think rationally." Thanks and have a good day, Arizona Mildman

My Email To The Archdiocese of New York Communications Department

My email said:

"Subject: Quote by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York

I find it hard to believe that so many males in this day and age are so ignorant about women's reproductive health. When I read the quote that women can go to 7-11 for their healthcare needs as if estrogen and condoms or women's hygiene pads or tampons are all there is to know about the reproductive system. I guess if I was a celibate male who never was curious what women go through or hadn't ever lived with a real woman, then I might sound just as stupid. You need to get him a children's primer on he reproductive system and how it works. Women and their physicians have been using the female hormone estrogen (contained in birth control pills) to regulate women's menstrual cycles since the eighties, starting with most at about 13 years old. Also, while we are on the subject, the Catholic church doesn't want birth control or abortions. Birth control prevents the need for abortions. The world is already over populated, which is a big problem with inequality in the U.S., and you don't want responsible human beings with healthy normal sex drives to feel anything but guilt for having sex without trying to procreate. That might have been okay in the 1800s when people still only lived to the ripe old age of 30 years old, but today that is stupidly controlling and manipulating and is an abuse of religion to "control the teaming masses" of idiots who give you their last pennies while starving to death, praying for help. Your church is who Adolph Hitler learned how to control the German people by emulating your pomp and ceremony and his beliefs were developed from the evil parts of the bible. Your whole religion needs to move on to the twenty first century and quit trying to revive the dark ages."

I encourage everyone to write their own email and give them a piece of your mind over this crap at: communications@archny.org
